Protection and use of your personal information
In order to register as a member of Yoga Mind and Body, you have to join our Mailing List. This requires your full name and email address. We do not circulate marketing material as that is inconsistent with our not-for-profit ethos as a Social Enterprise. But you will receive, as part of your membership, what we consider to be essential material: namely our Newsletter and Bulletins.
We will not use your data for anything other than matters relating to your membership. It is stored by our provider Mailchimp so that we can reach you by email.
Once you have joined our mailing list you have access to our Yoga Club and Yoga Hub.
You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time but when you do so you forfeit your membership and will not receive a refund for any unused pricing packages or class passes.
Using the Yoga Mind and Body website
You may book a class, course or workshop via our online payment system. Please follow the instructions on the website. You may also subscribe or renew your membership there. All bookings made on the website are subject to our terms and conditions. By making a booking, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. You are only permitted to make bookings for yourself or for those you are authorised to act on behalf of.
Bookings and payments
Class passes may be used to attend any of our regular classes. This does not include 1-to-1s, workshops or special events.
All classes should be prepaid, preferably via the online booking system, or by cash or card prior to the class.
The validity period for all class passes includes the recess between each teaching season.
Class passes are non-refundable.
Refund and cancellation policy
Refunds are not normally given. We reserve the right to exercise discretion in appropriate circumstances.
For private 1-to-1 classes, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled class will be charged at full price.
Workshop cancellations made at least 14 calendar days in advance will be refunded. Between 14 days and 48 hours there will be no refund unless we can fill your place before the workshop commences. Should an event be cancelled by us, you will be offered a refund or credit against future events or regular classes.
16 and older: Drop in classes are open to all aged 16 and over. We may require proof of age.
Under 16: Children under the age of 16 may attend classes if approved by the teacher, ONLY if accompanied by a parent or carer. The parent or carer MUST be present in the actual class, and not in the cafe or another area of the building. The parent or carer is responsible for ensuring there is no disruption to the class, and may be asked to leave with the child in such cases.
Health and safety
Yoga Mind and Body proactively safeguards clients and employees from harm or injury. This is a shared responsibility which everyone is asked to be mindful of. Apply common sense and intelligence to your practice, taking prompt action to prevent and reduce injury or harm to yourself and others.
We do not accept any responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged goods; please look after your belongings.
Please notify the teacher of any health concerns and consult with a medical practitioner or healthcare professional if any physical or mental health condition may be adversely affected by practising yoga.
Physical security and safety
If you become aware of anything that could endanger any person’s security or safety please bring this promptly to the attention of the teacher so that appropriate safeguards and actions can be taken. This does not stop anyone from taking any appropriate immediate action by themselves – such as calling 999 for the Emergency Services, telling people to clear a building, or removing obstructions – providing the person does not expose him or herself to unnecessary harm or injury by doing so.
Code of behaviour
Abusive or threatening behaviour, the language of a profane or discriminatory nature, or behaviour in contravention of our cultural policy, will not be tolerated by Yoga Mind and Body in any venue, or by email, phone or other forms of communication with employees. Persons exhibiting such behaviour will be asked to leave the premises immediately. In this instance, no refunds will be given. We reserve the right to place a ban on future entry for persons involved in what we consider to be inappropriate behaviour, as outlined above.
